Author: Mark Haddon | Friday 28th March 2025

adidas SPZL’s latest collection is out now, delivering a fresh take on archival classics while staying true to the brand’s deep-rooted cultural legacy. Curated by Gary Aspden, the Spring/Summer 2025 lineup seamlessly blends the past, present, and future of adidas design, showcasing a mix of reworked silhouettes, new hybrids, and timeless apparel pieces.
The footwear selection introduces six unique styles, each inspired by vintage adidas designs. Standout models include the TRX Mesh SPZL, which reinterprets the classic TRX runner with a modernized upper, and the Handball Cup SPZL, a fusion of 80s handball silhouettes with a striking red leather overlay. The Failsworth SPZL revives elements of the rare adidas Barbados, while the Roelee SPZL builds on the Whalley SPZL with Gazelle-inspired detailing. The Pampanga SPZL draws from the elusive adidas Squire, and the A. Aspden SPZL pays tribute to Aspden’s late father with a signature touch on a new hybrid court shoe.
On the apparel side, the Halewood SPZL Parka leads the collection, available in forest green and black, alongside the Billinge SPZL Hoodie and Mod SPZL Tee. The Hudswell SPZL Jacket and Shorts bring a utilitarian edge with ripstop fabrics, while the Salesbury SPZL Trousers offer a relaxed, tapered fit. Rounding out the lineup, the Wardour SPZL Vest reworks the iconic Wardour jacket into a sleeveless gilet, perfect for layering.
Accessories include the ST10 SPZL Bag and Hip Bag, inspired by classic adidas ST rain jackets, as well as the Mod Trefoil SPZL Cap and Socks.
The collection is brought to life through a campaign featuring British actor and adidas SPZL supporter James Nelson-Joyce, with visuals by legendary music photographer Kevin Cummins and a soundtrack by Syd Minsky of @working_mens_club.
Available now in limited quantities via Confirmed and select retailers, the adidas SPZL Spring/Summer 2025 collection is a must-have for those who appreciate classic Three Stripes heritage with a contemporary twist.
