Vans is paying homage to its deep-rooted connection to music and skateboarding with the launch of the Premium Old Skool Music Collection. The collection highlights the evolution of the Old Skool™, a silhouette that has been a staple in underground music scenes since its debut in 1977.

The collection is split into three distinct capsules, each celebrating a different era of music that helped shape the Old Skool’s legacy. The first drop takes inspiration from the punk and hardcore scenes of the ‘70s and ‘80s, featuring bold leopard prints and solid colorways reminiscent of the rebellious style of the time. The second capsule, influenced by the Warped Tour era, revives Y2K aesthetics with checkerboard patterns, two-tone designs, and flame prints—a nod to the skate-punk energy of the early 2000s. The final drop pays tribute to the underground hip-hop movement, introducing vibrant colorways on gum soles, reflecting the influence of rap culture on streetwear and sneaker fashion.

Beyond aesthetics, Vans has upgraded the Premium Old Skool Build with refined materials and modern construction. The silhouette now features a 30% biobased Sola Foam ADC insole for improved cushioning, a more seamless fit, and archival design details such as glossy sidewalls, higher foxing tape, and vintage branding—echoing the ‘90s-era Vans designs.

To bring the collection to life, Vans has partnered with The Paranoyds, Voice of Baceprot, Little Simz, and HiTech—artists known for their raw emotion and passion for music. These creatives embody Vans’ Off The Wall ethos, pushing boundaries across genres.

The Vans Premium Old Skool Music Collection will begin dropping monthly from February 6 at Vans retail locations and Vans.co.uk, bringing both heritage and innovation to a new generation of cultural trailblazers.
