In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Swedish retailer Sneakersnstuff has teamed up with French outdoor specialists Salomon to reimagine the XT-6 GTX—a sneaker built for tough weather conditions. Designed with Swedish winters in mind, this first-ever collaboration between SNS and Salomon features the XT-6 GTX outfitted with a Flash-X Gore-Tex membrane, ensuring reliable water resistance and weather protection.
The upper of the XT-6 GTX combines an abrasion-resistant TPU material with a single-layer mesh, giving it durability and breathability. A molded OrthoLite® sockliner and Salomon's Agile Chassis™ System offer additional support, while the Mud Contagrip® rubber outsole provides essential traction across challenging terrains. The quickLACE™ system makes for easy on-and-off wear, and SNS, Salomon, and Gore-Tex branding adds a distinctive touch to the design.
SNS Creative Director Johan Undén notes that this collaboration was inspired by the need to stay dry through Sweden's challenging weather, making the XT-6 GTX the perfect companion for wet and rugged conditions.
To celebrate the launch, SNS will host an event on November 21st at SNS Berlin, where community members can get a first look at the sneaker’s water-resistant build and technical features, accompanied by live music and drinks. Sign-ups for the SNS x Salomon XT-6 GTX will open on the SNS app on November 15th, with any remaining pairs available online and in-store from November 22nd.
