Sometimes collaborations between artists just make sense, they feel organic. An example of that is this one from Ipswich based duo Brotherhood, as they link up with Lowkey for their latest track 'Messiah Complex.'
Brotherhood, which consists of brothers Blaze and Menace had this to say about the link up:
"We wrote Messiah Complex with Lowkey in mind, in hope that he might share an insight of what it must be like to live in his head... And he delivered. It was a pleasure to meet and work with this legend. A bucket list song for us. We hope you like it."
Laid back production from JBJ gives Brotherhood and Lowkey a chance to get introspective and look inwards, discussing why they make music and reflecting on their own journey. Lowkey also ends his own verse with a lovely compliment to Brotherhood with the line 'all I know Brotherhood inspired me from years back.
The video, directed by Menace and Martell, sees Blaze and Menace linking up with Lowkey in Ladbroke Grove to see Grenfell tower and the tributes around the block.
