Headie One returns with the visuals for his new single 'Pound Signs', following eager anticipation on social media over the last few weeks.
Filmed by DAPS – who has filmed music videos for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, DaBaby and Migos – 'Pound Sign' visuals are a movie which show Headie One in full main character mode. We see the rapper aiming a rocket launcher at a police car, playing Russian Roulette with a group of gangsters, and of course there are plenty of £50 notes throughout the video – fitting considering the tracks title.
'Pound Signs' is Headie's first release since his incredible performance at the BRIT awards, with AJ Tracey and Young T & Bugsey, and showcases the rappers signature drill flow at its best. Produced by Likkle Dots and Es, the track opens up with a short excerpt from the popular interview with Jamaican legend Bob Marley, where he explains that financial wealth and mobility do not equate to happiness or personal fulfilment.
You may have already heard the instrumental for this track on social media as people have been submitting their entries for the 'Pound Signs Challenge' which Headie has been sharing on his socials over the last week or two. The high-tempo beat is perfect for Headie One to do what he does on this track, which is let us know just how much he loves his money.
