Legendary rapper DMX passes away aged 50

Rap legend, DMX has died after suffering a heart attack last Friday. His family have confirmed the news in a statement.
The Grammy-nominated rapper, born as Earl Simmons had been taken to hospital in White Plains, New York and was in “grave condition”.
“Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end,” the family said in a statement.
“He loved his family with all of his heart, and we cherish the times with all of his heart, and we cherish the times we spent with him. Earl’s music inspired countless fans across the world, and his iconic legacy will live forever. We appreciate all the love and support during this incredibly difficult time”.
The family has asked for privacy as they “grieve the loss of our brother, father, uncle and the man the world knew as DMX”.
DMX had a well-documented battle with substance abuse and admitted himself into rehab on multiple occasions; most recently in 2019 after serving a 12-month prison sentence for tax evasion.
DMX is survived by his 15 children and fiancée Desiree Lindstrom, the mother of his 15th child, a 4-year-old son, Exodus.
