Wretch 32 sits down with Tim Westwood to talk new album and book
Author: Daniel David | Friday 8th November 2019
Wretch talks the process behind his new book, label woes, the Upon Reflection album, the next steps in his career, working in the Sainsburys bakery (get him on Celeb Bake Off) and having a paper round. He also speaks on Alwayz Recording, recording videos, how having kids changed his life, his locks and religious beliefs, how much the scene has changed he started until now, and the pressures (or lack thereof) of being considered one of the best.
One particularly interesting point that Wretch brings up is the need to challenge the curriculum, the possibility of students analysing their favourite lyrics, allowing them to use the same techniques they use to analyse poetry, and how to analyse their favourite song.
Wretch’s album ‘Upon Reflection’ is out now, and Wretch’s book “Rapthology” is out November 21.
