Coronavirus: UK's deadliest day since start of outbreak

Today, the number of deaths in the UK totalled a devastating 980 due to the Coronavirus.
This is the highest number since the start of the outbreak. The total number of deaths in the UK currently sits at 8,958.
The medical deputy chief has stated, however, that 'the curve is beginning to bend', with a 2% decrease in people being diagnosed within the UK.
Police and officials urge the public to stay at home this weekend. It will save lives.
