Yungen announces new project to be released this month!

South-London rapper, Yungen, has announced via Twitter that we can expect a new project from his this January.

Yungen, real name CJ Brooks, has made a name as one of the most talked-about UK rappers in the last 8 years. The release of his album ‘Project Black and Red’ in 2014 was one of his biggest achievements to date. The album included prestigious features like Wretch 32, Krept & Konan and Sneakbo and was highly anticipated.

More recently, his features like Steel Banglez ‘Bad’ with MoStack, Mr Eazi and Not3s and Mabel’s ‘One Shot- Remix’ featuring Avelino have been everywhere.  ‘Bad’ and Yungen’s own single ‘Bestie’ being particular huge club classics. Even though we haven’t had an album since 2014, Yungen certainly hasn’t fallen off and has only risen in popularity, with over 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

‘Project Black and Red’ was his first and only debut album so the recent tweet from him makes us excited for some new music from him this month, potentially an album.

Stay tuned on Yungen’s socials to catch the official release date.
