Travis Scott releases ‘Stop Trying To Be God’ visuals

It’s been a roller coaster weekend for Travis Scott after he released his anticipated ‘Astroworld’ album, and he’s not stopping there as he releases the visuals for one of the most notable hits on the project ‘STOP TRYING TO BE GOD’. The track is well put together both in production and lyricism and features Phillip Bailey, James Blake, fellow G.O.O.D Music member Kid Cudi and the legendary Stevie Wonder.

Dave Meyers directs this masterpiece which sees Travis Scott play various characters and goes through a journey to become God-like only for it all to be taken away from him. Travis encounters wild fires from above which take his life and he appears to be saved by Virgin Mary who is played by his girlfriend Kylie Jenner. As he is re-born, La Flame is seen as someone with a higher status and has a following who re-enact his movements before he gives these people new life. The power soon gets to his head and Travis becomes the same demon who took his life and that’s enough for God to get rid of him. The visuals are a great representation of the deeper meaning to the track which is to stay level headed in the music industry because it can be taken away from you in an instance.
