Dimzy Drops A Quick Freestyle on ‘Hype On The Mic’

The BBC Radio family has grown in recent years with BBC’s Asian Network being merged with BBC Radio 1Xtra, creating a large contingent that caters to two of the biggest ethnic minority groups in the UK. ‘Hype On The Mic’ is one of the platforms that was created by this merger and it showcases some of the biggest talents in UK urban music. Having previously featured artists such as P Money, Little Dee, DigDat and 67 among many others, 67’s Dimzy returns to the platform solo to drop a quick freestyle for hosts Kan D Man and DJ Limelight.

In his typically laid back fashion, Dimzy spat his frosty lyrics over an unknown drill beat that was heavily censored for radio purposes. His tone is passive but Dimzy is anything but monotonous as he rides the beat without fault. Keen listeners will recognise parts of Dimzy’s freestyle from “Section 6ixty”, a collaboration between himself, Dimzy and the Smoke Boys.

Check the freestyle out in the video above.
