Snowy spends a day as Crash Bandicoot in ‘Going On’ visuals

Self-professed Nottingham king Snowy has today shared an imaginative new video for ‘Going On’, which he originally released as a single back in February. Both the audio and visuals pay homage to the classic PlayStation game Crash Team Racing, first released in 1999.

Throughout the video, Snowy is seen to sport a distinctive orange Adidas tracksuit, not dissimilar to the colour of the game’s pesky protagonist. He speeds round the block in a kart, topping up on Red Bull to keep his energy levels high, and treating himself to the occasional Wumpa Fruit.

The song’s left-field instrumental, produced by SWAMP81 boss Lamont, is densely populated with bongo drums reminiscent of those used in the Crash Bandicoot franchise. Snowy packs his verses with an eclectic mixture of topics, ranging from typefaces (“Man didn’t think I’m serious like Wingdings”) to video games (“Bare man thinking they’re mega like drive”) to his personal life (“ADHD so I don’t need coffee”). Bring it all together, and you’ve got perhaps the most innovative three minutes of music you’ll hear all year.

‘Going On’ is available now on all good retailers.
