Sir Spyro hosts a special show in tribute to Stormin MC with the Nasty Crew

Last week, news spread that one of the scenes pioneers and veterans, Stormin MC had passed away after a lengthy battle with skin cancer, an illness which he had been bravely fighting to the very end. In honour of his life and a tribute to him, Sir Spyro has reunited Nasty Crew in the studio of BBC Radio 1xtra to perform a set in honour of the late rapper.

Stormin was originally a part of Nasty Crew,  a music collective including people like Griminal, Kano, Ghetts, Marus Nasty, D Double E and others. This was back when grime was being established, and all members were huge in paving the way for the genre. The collective Nasty Crew were also known for their clash against other grime group of the time ‘Roll Deep’.

Since the news of Stormin’s death broke, social media has been flooded with people paying their respects, including many other artists close to him. Messages of the utmost respect and expression of love have been written in his honour, it is safe to say that he was a legend and will be sorely missed.

Watch the dope set above now! Big up Spyro and The Nasty Crew for this very special tribute.
