Mina West unveils new video to beautiful spoken word poem ‘Legacy’

It is only right to share this with you all today in particular, as it is ‘World Poetry Day’!

Award winning spoken word poet Mina West has joined forces with a team of strong women of all races, ages & backgrounds to create the moving visuals for her spoken word piece, encouraging women to leave their Legacy. #MyLegacy was a campaign that West ran on her social media sites collecting quotes on what Legacy means to people.

The visuals feature some incredible women, such as: Hair & beauty bloggers – @CURLtureUK, CEO of @UEAwards – Shinel Crinchlow, Actress & Karate champion – Yolanda Lynes, Artist Manager & Editor at Link Up TV @wardahsempa plus many more.

‘Legacy’ will be the leading track and visuals from her debut Ep ‘Pieces of Me’, which comes out in April! I cannot wait to hear the whole project!

Mina has built an impressive fan base, with many viewers and listeners of her work demanding more from the female lyricist and ‘Pieces of Me’ will be her first body of work.

The Ep will be available across all digital platforms and will be performed live for the first time on 17th April in London at the EP Launch, tickets are available here.

What a beautiful video and poem, well done to the fantastic Mina West for this latest offering and it was very special to see our own Wardah Sempah included in this, too! Who else is excited for the EP ‘Pieces Of Me’?!
