Mahalia unveils new single ‘Hold On’

After her debut single ‘Sober’ which came out in July, which has been streamed 2 million times, Mahalia is back with a new single called ‘Hold On’ and it does not disappoint.

Premiered by Noisey, British singer songwriter Mahalia has unveiled her brand new single “Hold On” featuring Compton rapper Buddy.

Produced by Nana Rogues, who produced ‘Passionfruit’ from Drake’s ‘More Life’ playlist and Jay Prince, this song is exactly the vibey sound we expect from Mahalia. Her beautiful, unique sound alongside the wavy instrumental, is so addictive and catchy. It’s a wonderful combinational of R&B and pop but also with the unique, modern sound of Mahalia and her open, honest lyricism.

Mahalia has said of the single: “Hold On was a tune that needed to come out of me for a long time and it finally did when I stumbled upon an old flame of mine in my home town. It’s a long story so I won’t go into it… however, I originally wrote “Hold On” in the studio with Jay Prince. I then had a little session with ‘Buddy’ during his recent trip to London and he came at me with the geezas perspective…! Have a listen – hope you enjoy.”

The songstress will be touring the UK & Ireland on a 9-date tour later this month – (tickets here).
