Jesse James Solomon Rips A Freestyle on Tim & Barry TV

Another day, another exclusive Tim & Barry TV drop! As you know, the duo record artists dropping some of the coldest freestyles and upload them to their YouTube platform on a weekly basis. The impromptu nature of these freestyles and Tim & Barry’s long-standing within the UK Rap and Grime culture make this a popular platform. This time around they have enlisted South London’s own hood poet, Jesse James Solomon to drop a quick freestyle on their channel.

The 22-year-old rapper, hailing from Walworth Road, is coming off the back of a decent 2018 after appearing on Suspect’s banger ‘One Way’ with Skepta and dropping his EP ‘Strata’ the long-awaited follow-up to his 2014 project ‘Jesse From SE’. Jesse, who is known to be quite reclusive save for a few loose singles here and there, drops a seemingly effortless freestyle over an unnamed Flyo instrumental.

The video sees Jesse walking through a quiet part of his local area (if your eyes are sharp, you’ll notice the Strata skyscraper in the back around the 2:10 mark) as he glides on the beat with his signature sleepy flow. He is comfortable on the beat as he dusts off on topics from the city lights, his absence from the game, gentrification and more.
