Charlie Trees unveils the grainy visuals for ‘Charlie’s Tree 3’

WAVE Gang member Charlie Trees has dropped the long-awaited new video for his latest single, Charlie’s Tree 3, directed by George Barnes and starring Jake Davies. Somewhat of an outlier in the grime scene, the Kent-based MC has been turning heads thanks to his multisyllabic flows and haunting instrumentals, this self-produced track being no exception. The track—which was first heard in March 2017—is described as the third ‘episode’ in the Charlie’s Tree series, the first of which dates back to September 2015.

Although the young MC is based in Gravesend, these fresh visuals appear to be filmed in Greenwich, and see the protagonist succumb to numerous vices including coke addiction, alcohol and gambling. The video features cameo appearances from fellow WAVE members including frontman Ten Dixon.

We can expect to hear Root, the next full project from Charlie, in the near future. If this single is any indication of its quality, the new mixtape should set serious levels.
