Adidas Originals Toast Stormzy Collab with ‘Line’ Visuals

It’s pretty much of an understatement at this point to say that South London grime superstar Stormzy is having a standout 2018. He has seen the release of his book ‘Rise Up: The #Merky Story’ released in a joint venture with Penguin Books, been announced as the headline act for the Friday of 2019’s Glastonbury Festival and announced the release of his sophomore album – which is scheduled for a 2019 release. Just yesterday, his collaboration with German sportswear giant Adidas was released and includes a range of SPRT tracksuits and t-shirts. As part of the launch, the two forces have combined for a music video titled ‘Line’.

Directed by Kaylum Dennis, the video serves as a visual catalogue of the whole range as we see Stormzy and his entourage riding around on their bikes. In 60 seconds, Mr. Skeng shows us what fans have been missing since the February 2017 release of Gang Signs and Prayer – which is such a tease given his tendency to keep us waiting on new music. With quality displayed in the clean editing of the video to Stormzy’s cool and collected delivery (he declined a £100,000 booking, wow), ‘Line’ is just a taste of what is to come from him.
