The KA and GRM Daily annual Rated Awards were back with a bang last night and the winners have been announced!

According to GRM Daily it was the ‘closest and most competitive year yet’ which is a testament to how incredible the UK Urban music scene is right now! A huge congratulations to everyone at GRM Daily for putting on the event as well and also everyone involved with organising it!

The KA and GRM Daily Rated Awards are one of the only award ceremonies that let the fans decide the winners.

Hosted by Manny Norte & Joelah Noble, the event saw urban music’s finest gather at Roundhouse, Camden to celebrate the year’s most inspiring and hard working artists.

‘Best Track’ this year was man of the moment J Hus, with ‘Did You See’. Congratulations!

Taking home ‘Best Breakthrough’ this year is Not3s. Thoroughly well deserved, congratulations Not3s!

Best album was J Hus’ amazing debut LP ‘Common Sense’.

Taking home the award for ‘Producer Of The Year’ was a personal favourite of mine ‘Steel Banglez’! Congratulations, what a fantastic year he has had.

Receiving ‘Best DJ’ for a third year in a row, it’s man like Charlie Sloth!

A little bit gassed about the following one, as it was filmed on the estate I grew up on and lived in Woolwich, ‘Best Video’ deservedly went to Stormzy for ‘Big For Your Boots’ which was directed by Daps, congratulations guys.

Taking home ‘Best Video Director’ was none other than Kaylum Dennis – a huge well done!
