Island Records UK boss Ted Cockle has released a statement explaining that the late great singer Amy Winehouse has a dozen or so unfinished or unreleased songs that will ‘Never Be Heard.’ According to Cockle, the Back To Black singer banned the songs from ever being released before she died earlier this year at her London home and it was a unanimous decision by the company executives to honour her wishes.

Darcus Beese another Island Records Boss adds, “If you ever hear ‘Procrastinate’, you have my permission to come into my offices here in Kensington (London) and fire me.”

In light of this, Island Records have decided to release a fresh Amy Winehouse Compilation album of songs which the singer had agreed to be released. During an interview with Beese, he defends the decision to release an album from Amy explaining that she would have wanted it to be released regardless.

“‘I f**king wrote the songs. People should f**king hear them’. That’s what she’d tell you if she was sat here now.”

Lioness: Hidden Treasures is the first posthumous album from the Rehab singer which will be released on the 2nd of December 2011.
