Adam Deacon Sectioned Under Mental Health Act

Well known actor Adam Deacon has been sectioned under the mental health act, a court heard today.

The actor rose to popularity after starring in Kidulthood and Adulthood. He also starred in and directed urban comedy Anuvahood.

The BAFTA award winning star’s problems with fellow actor and former friend Noel Clarke were made clear after various tweets directed at Clarke.

The actor was due to appear in court today after being charged with affray and and possession of a long bladed sword in an incident near his home in Bethnal Green.

Deacon did not appear at Thames Magistrates court this morning because he was too unwell after  being sectioned under the mental health act.

The court clerk said: “This case was adjourned, I believe, on the 6th March, and if you look at the charge sheet, the charges concern allegations from the 6th of January of affray and possession of an offensive weapon in public.

“On the last occasion the defendant wasn’t in court and an adjournment period was agreed because the defendant was in hospital for treatment of underlying health issues.”

The hearing was adjourned to April 30th.
